Lyle Rappaport Foundation Appoints New
Executive Director
The Phyllis and Jerome Lyle Rappaport Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Kat Edwards as Executive Director. Ms. Edwards most recently worked as Director of the Concord Land Conservation Trust and prior to that, as Executive Vice President of Donald Tofias & Co. She brings solid experience in business management, marketing and communications as well as nonprofit and fundraising administration. In her new role, Ms. Edwards will interface with the Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston at Harvard University and the Rappaport Center for Law and Public Service at Suffolk Law School. She will also manage existing and evolving strategic partnerships with Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals, the DeCordova Museum, and other institutions.
Phyllis Rappaport, Chair of the Rappaport Foundation said, “Because we embrace a variety of important interests, we feel Ms. Edwards’ diverse competencies make her well suited to advance our goals of funding promising leaders, dynamic public policy ideas, neurological research and the creative vision of emerging artists.”

As avid collectors of modern art, both the Rappaports have helped support a local industry that can be overlooked in times of economic downturn. It is an exciting opportunity for me to be involved with the Foundation and be a part of all they have accomplished in the short time they have been operating,” said Edwards. Ms. Edwards graduated from Princeton University and resides in Concord, Ma with her husband and three children.
