Dr. Keith is currently an Instructor in Psychiatry at McLean Hospital/ Harvard Medical School with extensive research experience conducting preclinical, human laboratory, and randomized clinical trials examining the behavioral and cognitive effects of drug of abuse. Briefly, Dr. Keith’s research integrates human laboratory and clinical trial approaches to investigate the pharmacological, behavioral, and neural mechanisms that contribute to the development and maintenance of substance use disorders, with the ultimate goal of leveraging that knowledge to develop novel, individualized treatments. Dr. Keith has a broad background in behavioral pharmacology, with specific training and expertise on sleep/circadian rhythms, cognitive performance, decision-making/impulsivity, and evidence-based treatments for substance use disorders.
