Description of Fellowship
Katherine worked at the Mayor’s Office for Women’s Advancement in Boston, creating content regarding the barriers pet owners face when exiting abusive relationships. She interviewed various stakeholders including the statewide domestic violence hotline, providers of DV services, veterinary staff, and survivors themselves, to create a training geared toward teaching veterinary staff how to recognize and react when they see signs of interpersonal violence in families.
