Year

2026

Rappaport Public Policy Fellows spend 10 weeks each summer serving within the highest levels of state and municipal governments in the Greater Boston Area. The program includes students from graduate and professional programs at local universities.

School: MIT
Placement: MassHousing

Lauryn will work at MassHousing on the Strategic Community Investments (SCI) team, supporting project closings for awarded developments and the launch of a new Neighborhood Hub initiative for emerging developers in Gateway cities. She will also conduct a review of the CommonWealth Builder Program, which has just surpassed 1,000 new units since 2021, and interview program participants to evaluate user experience, document impact to date, and identify opportunities to deepen the program’s goals of expanding homeownership opportunities and closing the state’s racial wealth gap.
