Description of Fellowship
To better aid Boston City Government in serving renters/owners of affordable housing units in Boston to institute energy efficiency upgrades/practices, the fellow will develop a Request for Proposal (RFP) aimed at scaling-up aligned services provided by local, community-based organizations. The goal of the RFP is to be additive to existing government programs by leveraging the capacity and network of local organizations to improve the reach and accessibility of energy efficiency focused government services. Ideally, organizations awarded the RFP can use government funds to deepen engagement with renters and owners of affordable housing units, provide no-cost counseling and education on home energy efficiency improvements, and potentially serve as navigators to help residents access additional government resources.
