Description of Fellowship
Salman developed data dashboards that demonstrate the opportunity and achievement gaps that exist within schools across the state of Massachusetts. These dashboards seek to unpack critical information for district and school staff, so they can begin to close these gaps for all students. Salman presented his work to the Senior Associate Commissioner for Strategic Initiatives as well as key stakeholders across the state. He also supported the analysis of the new state-wide Early College program. Salman is currently a PhD Student at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

“The Rappaport Fellowship was an incredibly rich experience. I not only gained immense knowledge on the inner workings of a state agency, but I networked with policy leaders across the state. This fellowship provides students a tremendous launching pad to get involved and make a difference in the policy sphere.” – Salman Kahn
