The Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy Fellows Program affords 12 law students from eight Massachusetts law schools the opportunity to work in a state or local government agency during the summer.

Project Description
While working in the Office of General Counsel at MassDOT/MBTA, Sam spent the majority of his summer providing legal and policy research and drafting support for two ongoing initiatives –the MBTA’s Automated Fare Collection (AFC) 2.0 project and the Massachusetts Autonomous Vehicles Working Group.

Sam graduated summa cum laude from Furman University in 2014. He is interested in issues concerning the sustainable and equitable development of modern American cities, especially transit, land use, and housing. Prior to law school, Sam spent three years working at a Fortune 500 financial services company.
