A speaker series to promote vigorous and civil discourse on the nation’s most complex issues
Harvard Law School Rappaport Forum
The Harvard Law School Rappaport Forum is a speaker series designed to promote and model full, vigorous and civil discourse on complex and challenging issues facing our nation and our world. The HLS Rappaport Forum seeks to bring imminent thought leaders to the Harvard Law School campus to thoughtfully and respectfully discuss and debate the critical issues.
Gifted to a contemporary artist with strong connections to New England and a record of achievement.
Established in 2000, the Rappaport Prize is one of the most generous art awards of its kind. Each year, deCordova invites art professionals from around the country — museum directors, curators, other artists and past winners — to nominate artists for the prize based on set criteria. Recipients have included Titus Kaphar, Ursula Von Rydingsvard, Barkley Hendricks and Orly Genger.
“To be effective, great lawyers and leaders must be able to hear, to listen generously to, those with whom they disagree. By inviting thought leaders to engage in vigorous and respectful discussions and disagreements about consequential topics, the Harvard Law School Rappaport Forum will help train the next generation of lawyers to be skillful in not just preparing a strong argument, but in understanding all perspectives.”
