The Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy established the Jerome Lyle Rappaport Visiting Professors in Law and Public Policy to invite a diverse group of public sector luminaries to spend a semester at Boston College Law School. Visiting Professors have included, Carmen Ortiz, first Latina woman appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts and the Hon. Geraldine S. Hines,first African-American Woman to serve on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.

Visiting Professors have included Martin O’Malley, Carmen Ortiz, Hon. Robert J. Cordy, Hon. Geraldine S. Hines, Dannel Malloy, Jane Swift and Richard Cordray.
